Tommy is part of the third generation to lead Burleson Construction Co., Inc. A graduate of Clemson University, with a BS in Building Construction, and a retired Colonel with a total of thirty years active and reserve time in the U.S. Army. Tommy is the leader of the Burleson team. As the Chairman of the Board, CEO, Treasurer and Director of the company he uses his experience and knowledge of the construction industry to help manage projects more efficiently. He started working in the construction business while in high school. Tommy has hands on experience and a wealth of knowledge to share with project managers. He is also a Life Director of AGC of America, a past president of AGC of Tennessee, and a member of the Consulting Constructors Council and the AGC of America Education and Research Foundation. Tommy is a Certified Professional Constructor, and a LEED® Accredited Professional who has attained the Building Design + Construction Certification (LEED® AP BD+C).

Vice Chairman of the Board, Secretary, Director
Skip is part of the third generation to Burleson Construction. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, with a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Skip has many years of experience in water and wastewater treatment plants. With his experience and knowledge he provides leadership and guidance to the project managers. As the Vice Chairman of the Board, Secretary and Director, Skip oversees many aspects of the Burleson Team. He works with project managers to schedule equipment and labor, bringing the correct resources to each job at the right time in addition to managing our water and wastewater projects. Skip is a Certified Professional Constructor and a LEED® Accredited Professional.

President, Chief Operating Officer and Director
Wayne is a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a degree in Construction Management. Wayne has completed the Healthcare Contractors Certification Program sponsored by the American Society for Healthcare Engineering. He has been a part of the Burleson Team since 1983. Wayne has received the Tri-Cities Associated General Contractors “Project Manager of the Year” award for 2010, he has also received this award in 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006, 1996, 1994, and 1992. Wayne also serves as Project Manager, primarily for Healthcare projects. As Estimator, Wayne works closely with clients to review construction and identify opportunities to reduce costs to bring the project within budget. He also works closely with Project Managers to ensure current projects are within the estimated budget and running well.

Chief Financial Officer and Director
Chris joined Burleson Construction Company in September 2005 as our Chief Financial Officer. A native of East Tennessee and 1990 graduate of East Tennessee State University, Chris holds a BS degree in Computer Science-Information Systems. Chris has worked in the telecommunication construction industry for approximately 9 years working in accounting, procurement, and project management.

Jeremy joined Burleson Construction Company in June of 2016. He graduated in 2016 from East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Engineering Technology. Jeremy was an intern with Burleson prior to joining the team. He is a Project Engineer who assists the Project Manager with scheduling, quantity take-off, and coordination with subcontractors.

Seth is a graduate of East Tennessee State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Engineering Technology. He joined Burleson Construction Company in May of 2016 as a Project Engineer and will take part in on-site supervision, as well as assisting the Project Manager.

James joined Burleson Construction in the Summer of 2017 with 15 years of experience in Commercial Construction with time divided between both Superintendent and Project Manager roles. He is a graduate of Longwood University in Farmville, VA with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. James spent his first few years out of college traveling as a contractor for the USEPA with his most notable project being the clean-up efforts of the World Trade Center Disaster. He has vast experience in hospitality, healthcare, and institutional construction having successfully completed over $150 Million worth of projects primarily in Virginia, Washington DC, and Texas. When James is not working he enjoys spending his free time doing anything outdoors with his wife and 2 sons.

Debbie joined Burleson Construction Company as Office Manager in 2001. An indispensable team member, Debbie assists project managers, corporate officers, and clients. She also coordinates paperwork, billings, communications, and schedules to keep the Burleson team running efficiently.

Janie joined Burleson Construction as a Project Coordinator in February 2003. She has over 13 years of experience in Engineering, and over 14 years of experience in the construction industry. She assists Project Managers and the Estimating Department to coordinate project information. Janie also prepares presentations to assist in attaining new business.
